How to make "Omelette"


Makes 6-9 servings:

  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1/4 cup chopped garlic
  • 1/2 cup sliced onion
  • 1/2 cup sliced mushrooms
  • 1/2 cup sliced German sausages or any kind of sausage
  • 1/2 cup diced tomatoes
  • 10 eggs
  • 1/2 cup cream
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1/2 cup grated cheese

Preparation:
  1. In a skillet, heat butter. Saute garlic, onion, mushrooms, and sausages.
  2. Season with salt and pepper. Stir in tomatoes. Set aside.
  3. In a bowl, whip eggs with a fork. Process cream in a blender and fold into eggs. This gives the omelette a fluffy texture.
  4. Season with salt and pepper. Pour into a warm skillet and cook over low heat.
  5. Set aside about 2 tablespoons of the sauteed mixture. Spread remaining sauteed mixture on top of eggs. Fold mixture into eggs and cook slowly until eggs are set.
  6. Top with reserved sauteed mixture and, if desired, with grated cheese.

How to make "Iced Cappuccino"


Makes 16 servings:
  • 8 cups vanilla ice cream.
  • 4 cups coffee.
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder, plus additional for sprinkling.
  • 2 1/2 tablespoons sugar
  • Cinnamon sticks(optional)
Preparation:
  1. Place all ingredients in a food blender, process until smooth. Pour into a glass dish or tin can. Place container in freezer. Freeze 1 1/2 to 2 hours or until top and sides of mixture are partially frozen.
  2. To serve, scoop into mugs, cups or glass. Sprinkle cocoa powder on top. If desired, garnish with cinnamon sticks.

How to make "Chilled Fruit Punch"



Makes 30 glasses:
  • 6 cups cold tea
  • 3/4 cup lemon juice
  • 2 cups fresh orange juice
  • 4 cups pineapple juice
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 10 cups ginger ale
  • Ice cubes
Preparation:
  1. In a low punch bowl combine tea, juices, and sugar. Blend well. Chill in refrigerator.
  2. Before serving, add ginger ale and ice cubes.

How to make "Pina Colada"

Here's a new take on this favorite tropical drink. Using store-bought buko (young coconut) sherbet instead of coconut milk or cream makes a delightful, more refreshing version. Again, we substituted rum with non-alcoholic ginger ale to make the delicious drink suitable for 'general patronage.'



Makes 15 servings:
  • 5 cups pineapple juice, divided 1/4 gallon buko sherbet
  • 4 bottles ginger ale or 1 to 2 cups rum
  • Crushed ice
  • Lime, sliced
Preparation:
  1. Chill all ingredients. Blend 2 cups of the pineapple juice with buko sherbet in a blender.
  2. Combine pineapple mixture with remaining 3 cups pineapple juice, ginger ale and crushed ice.
  3. Garnish with sliced lime and serve.

How to make "Sangria Punch"

The popular Spanish sangria is made with red wine, which gives the drink its typical sparkling red color. However, for this New Year version, we use red grape juice instead, to let even the young ones join in the celebration. For the adults, you can make a separate version using red wine.




6-8 Servings:
  • 3 cups red grape juice or red wine
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 cup juice
  • 1 cup orange juice
  • 2 cups mineral water
  • 1 orange, thinly sliced
  • 1 lemon, thinly sliced
Preparation:
  1. In a punch bowl combine red grape juice, sugar, lime juice, orange juice and water. Stir well ti blend.
  2. Add orange and lemon slices. Chill and serve with ice.
